Rev. Linzy Collins of Garner and Rev. Glenn Wilson address the Music Fest crowd on Saturday night.
Music Fest in Burt was a great success, with good attendance, powerful programs, and a renewal of enthusiasm and purpose. Total attendance was 448 people over four nights (92 Thursday, 106 Friday, 104 Saturday, and 146 on Sunday). Christians from many different area churches came together to worship and praise the Lord Jesus Christ.
Pastors Glenn Wilson, Judy Junkermeier, Dave Ullom, Linzy Collins, Robin Thomas and Willis Nicholson were in attendance during the event. There were also ten people who told their inspirational faith stories. Twenty-one soloists sang, as did Ruth Isebrand and the Burt Presbyterian Praise team, the Madison-Person Quartet, and the Burt Presbyterian Choir. Marlene Stenzel, Evelyn Mawdsley and Paul Espe, and Diane Wilson helped accompany the musicians.
Plans are in the works for another Music Fest at the First Presbyterian Church of Woden in the fall. But this Music Fest was a special event here, for such a time as this! It was great to be part of this beautiful move of God. Pastor Wilson and the Burt evangelism committee wish to thank all singers, speakers and musicians, as well as all the people who attended the services.
Marlene Stenzel accompanies Evelyn Mawdsely and the Burt Presbyterian Choir as they testify with music that "Jesus is the Light of the World!"
Thanks to All Who Helped with Music Fest -- Praise the Lord for this Jesus centered, Spirit led Event
